Car will not start - just like Nat Coo

Yesterday I was going to a funeral and had driven about 120 miles. Stopped to us a bathroom and when I started my and put it in reverse it died. Then the engine turned over, but no start. It was like it was not getting any fuel.... Since I had another 100 miles to go I left the car to make it to the funeral a half hour late. When I got back the car still woudl not start. Does anyone know the cost of a fuel pump relay? also does anyone have a good answer as to what might be wrong......

BTW - The H2 is an amazing truck... I have had it for over a month now and I have to say it is everything that I expected and more. I am getting 12 city and 14.5 hwy mpg.

Same thing happened to me this weekend. My is a 92 525ia with 102K on the clock. The relay cost about $20. The fuel pump cost me $180 and the sending unit $119 from BMA. In my case it was the fuel pump that failed. I confirmed it by performing the jumper test at the relay socket as described in the Bentley manual. Ordered the pump yesterday from Patrick, the package arrived this morning. Will swap out the old pump along with the sending unit tonight.
