Hi all, I've got a weird Low Beam issue and I'm not sure its the LKM - which I know is a common cause of problems.

Here's a description of the setup and situation:

1. The right side low beam socket (i.e. the back of light housing where the bulb / plug is inserted and turned to lock in place) tabs are a little bent. As such, the bulb is slightly loose in the socket.

2. I'm using the high beam bulbs in the low beam sockets.

3. The wires entering the connector plug on Right Side are slightly scorched

4. On an intermittent basis, the light will go out at startup - i.e. I get the low beam warning upon ignition. (Canadian car, lights on whenever engine is running).

5. While the car is running, if I move the light slightly in the socket it will illuminate immediately.

6. Attempts to recreate the outage by wiggling scorched wires, moving the bulb in the socket, etc, are unsuccessful.

7. May work fine for several days, then problem reoccurs.

I've thought of replacing the scorched socket, but doesn't seem like that's the issue - usually in this case the wiggling of wires would recreate the issue.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
