shocks or shock mounts/bump stops gone?

i've noticed that when i get into my car on D-side, the car squeaks....the car corners pretty well, and only bounces 1/2 time at each corner. what i do see is on several of the Posts of the shocks, there are round rubber bits that have fallen down to the bottom of the cartridge....no oil is anywhere on the shock though. i can't get the car to do the low frequency/medium amplitude bounce thing below a constant 55 mph, and only when i hit a bump. also, the car bottoms out when going over SEVERE bumps, but won't do this on regular speed bumps. i've ridden in a car with worn out shocks, and this just doesn't feel quite the same. thoughts, anyone???

Does it sound's like you exhaust is loose and hitting al sort of stuff, because I think I have the same problem, some knocking when I ride over holes in the road or bumpy roads, normal speedbumps everything is ok. I don't find anything loose under the car.
