I want to try one and from what i've seen and read something like this in steel makes most sense . Am i missing anything? Can these welds actually hold up?

The do strut bar as one of your last mods. Larger swaybar are a lot more effective. Those welds look like they will hold.

the car came with the M sport suspension option 704.Is there an even bigger or firmer sway bar available . I ask assuming a larger one is part of the option.

So is the Sport suspension mentioed here referring to the M Sport option from BMW or is that a generic term. I haven't yet found the specifications for the BMW M Sport suspension sway bars but if its 18 mm and the biggest one around, Nuerburing is just two MM bigger will that translate into noticabley firmer conrtol justifying the expense?

the 20mm bar isnt that much, but 18 to 20 is a 52% increase in the rigidity of the bar at the end links. the front bar seems to be more effective in controlling body roll, but without an increase in rear bar size you get understeer.

your c/p states 26/20 bars, i assume 26 front 20 rear. did you go straight to these from factory of did you step up slowly?

straight from factory, which is 23 front 15 rear. the front is adjustable and can go to 30mm rigidity (its 27mm diameter)
