I just bought this book on ebay (it's fake:D ) and it's a really good read. Not only heaps on the E34 including Alpina and Hartge but also the other 5s up to the E39. Worth a look if you see it about.

Haha... just to tell you how long I've been around... I remember when he was writing that book. :)

Don't buy fake ones tho... support the 5-series community! :(

I had bought this book a couple of weeks back:
BMW 5 Series by Marc Cranswick (http://www.veloce.co.uk/shop/products/productDetail.php?prod_id=V218&prod_group=Cars%20Vans%20&%20Trucks&).

Cost me AU$80. It's a good read, I'm starting to collect anything I can that is specific to 5 series and moreso E34s. I have this book now, and a Fujimi plastic 535i model that I have yet to assemble. I was outbid on a 1:18 E34 535i Minichamps model on eBay Australia, still spewing over that one!

A couple of things.
1.The fake thing was a running joke that I have as everytime I post something that I've seen on ebay someone always tells me that it is fake and I get almost berated (in a nice way) for not noticing. So now I say that everything that is ebay is fake.
2. If you are after the book why not get it through the link that ed has posted. I hadn't been there before and saw the book 2nd hand so I pounced. There are heaps of pics though most black & white. The pages are glossy though so the pics still look good.
