Newbie help please!? Bad radio.

My wife's 2000 323 (4 door) has a bad radio (business type), it comes on but no sound, the lights are on but nobody is home! The CD player works, plays music but no sound from the radio.

What could be the problem?

If I need to tear it out where can I find instructions to get it out of the dash?

You might check behind the radio to make sure the antenna is still plugged in.
Other than that it sounds as if the radio is shot.

I am not sure how yours comes out but I believe my factory radio has small alen head bolts on each side that hold it in. They may be hidden so you might look for little doors. If this isn't the case you might get you a basic manual. It will show you how to get it out.
