Newbie but long-time reader here, thanking all of you for your many helpful posts in the past, saving me hundreds $ if not thousands over the years.
I recently decided to have my growling rear end noise attended to, as suspected it was a rear wheel bearing. Repaired by a local shop for $305 total.
Interesting thing is that not only is growling noise gone, but a relatively severe vibration I have been noticing through the entire vehicle is gone too. I had attributed the vibration to a bad tire or tire balance problem, but turns out it was the bearing.
Just a quick question--should I have had both bearings done at same time?
Thanks:)
