Part # for e34 540i headlight bulbs

9006 high?


Could someone please give me some info? I want to order sylvania silverstars. If you know a good place to order these, that'll be great. Driver's side low beam is out. I would like to replace both low/high if prices are reasonable. If not I might do this

Your low beams are 9006; hi beams are 9005. If you follow the suggestion on Bruno's site, the "upgrade" is to modify a 9005 bulb to fit the low beam.

Alternatively, instead of silverstars, some people suggest getting the Toshiba Halogen Infrared Reflective bulbs. Roundel did a review and it seems like a better choice:
