Hi,

Just recently got a 90 525i 5-speed and after dropping a few grand $$ to "resurrect" it, it's running pretty good. I'm still working on some of the smaller stuff.
The gas gauge seems to work good, but it was low enough one time where a low fuel light should have come on (if it has one). Also, the obc isn't computing any mileage and the range isn't going down from about 400 miles.

Could this be a bad fuel sender even though the gauge seems to work good?
I haven't checked the connections yet so could part of it be working?

Also, the cruise isn't working. Could the problems be related? (At least I think I have cruise...the stalk is there at least). If not related, where's the first place to start troubleshooting cruise control?

Thanks

Fuel sender cleaning: see my ebsite below for a link to Max Fretter's homepage, or Johan & Sean's page too, where Johan repaired the wire.

OBC mileage could be related to this, when there is no clear info coming from the sender.
