I guess its for those times that you have to go pick up the UN General Secretary from the airport to take home for afternoon tea -- there has to be somewhere to wave the little flag from :D

My one is not the flag pole, it it the parking help pole, that was on all Japanese E32 installed. BMW Japan item only. Even a BMW Japan part number I have. I bought one for a guy in Germany for about 100 US $, but he could not install it, as the inspection office there (TUV) for road certificates says it is too dangerous as not flexible in case of an accident with bikers or pedestrians.
