Hey I'm planing on putting exhaust cutouts on my car and had a few questions. Do X and H pipes change the sound much? And where would be the best place to have the cutouts dump?

EDIT:
I was thinking i could just get one cutout and stick it in the center of the h or x pipe would that sound better than one on each pipe?

You have to also reprogramm the ECU, otherwise you start to lose power.
X and H pipes are not for sound, they are there to even the gases out, if you dont then its bad for power.

And imho sideexhaust on a 4 door car looks silly.

oh i wouln't have it dump so you could see it... id probly have it come out on ether side of the diff... You are defanatly right about reprogram, when I un bolt my cats the car is a dog off the line but at upper rpm's its about normal again.

banks of 3 into 2pipes into 1 pipe just in front of the cat. There is no H or X pipe on your car. Overall torque and the torque peak rpms are determined by the total length of the exhaust system to some degree. You'll lose much needed bottom end on this car by going to an exhaust cutout in front of the cats.
