What did this guy use in the summer that was so much better than these $500/each BBS rims.... I feel sorry for these rims that he trashed in the winter.

I concur. Why would you use them as winters? At worst I'd use basketweaves as winters :) Anyway... good deal if they can be polished up.

those are the rims that came came stock on his 528i if he had the sport package, so they were like his basketweaves lol.

Well, he says it's because he didn't want to use his "good" rims in winter.

If Style 5s are his "bad" rims, you gotta wonder...

I bet his "good" rims are 20" chromies.

:(

I might contact him and check em out since he's in the next town over, if anybody is interested in them, let me know and I would definitely inspect em for you.

The only thing that could be better than Style 5s is some Schnitzers or Alpinas...

I sold my Style 5's to a guy with an M5 to use as winter wheels.

It makes me wonder why he wouldn't have pics of all the wheels, and the 'best looking one' that was 'only used once' looks like $hit.

Heres a pic of the rims,

Here's what he said "as i can tell, there are no curb marks and none are bent!! its the clear coat that is chipping off. my summer rims where M rims."

He sent me a pic, they were E39 M5 Rims for summer.

But how much will that cost? The polishing and re-clearing?

spin them on a machine to be sure they are straight, be sure they are rash free, and you are set with a deal.
A guy from a Montreal BMW race board stripped his OZ Racing wheels and painted them, changed all the bolts and nuts...
THEY WERE WICKED AFTER.

the nuts and bolts were pretty pricey if I rermember tho.

update:
from what he wrote in the thread:
Every wheel has 35 bolts and nuts. They are 7mm x 32mm x 1mm thread. Being OZ parts, they are of the proprietary 10 points and tools arre rare as a hen's teeth. I will replate the nuts and bolts. New they sell $3 for each bolt.
