Bump,

Hey guys, I'm running low on nice high res photos with a lot of light (which is the most important thing). I've found myself pouring over the Virtual Car Show for more photos. Can I get a little love?

David,

These are completely do-able, but a larger high res version of each photo would greatly improve my chances of success.

Thanks

This is an edit: Originaly this post contained an earlier attempt @ my idea for David's piece, but ultimately I decided that I prefered the image in the next post down---I think it completes the thought a little more. So, I decided that rather than repeat myself, I'd devote this post to a website where you can go to find lots and lots of art, far superior to my own. This is the largest website for art in the world--it's a tad slow for guys who aren't sporting high speed, but I think everybody who's interested in Photo Shop, and just art in general should check it out!

www.deviantart.com

P.S. you can also check out my non-bimmer stuff here, if you can find my alias;)

Ken,

I think you're doing a great job. I've been meaning to comment, but I'm always crafting an image, posting, and then retreating back to craft another image. I like the changes that you've made on the Alpina logo for NucFus's signature photo and the "pop outs" that you did earlier! :)

Something else to try before you get too involved with cuts and layers. Try to bring a crispy image to the table, work on image color correction, and spend some time trying to really tweak the image just usings the levels--rather than the filters (effects). I think you can find a good tutorial about image correction on the start-up menu for CS2.

Cheers,

Cheers,

Thanks, I've got quite a bit of traditional photo background so the fundamental concepts are there, I just need to find the controls to do things properly. Still finding lots of new stuff and probably will be for a long time. The last version of Photoshop I used was 5 so there are alot of improvements. I used to use it at work but just for routine resizing and print prep work. It's alot of fun to see what can be done...will keep trying.

Thanks for the compliments.:)
