How do all, new to this forum so a big hello. I'm just about to purchase an 89 model 530i with the M30 engine I do believe. I have owned 2 BMW 320i's before running the M20 engine and found the engine bomb proof. Is the M30 engine similar in respect to reliability The reason I am asking is that my Golf GTi is about to fail its MOT tomorrow and am looking for a car that I will not be wasting money on in repairs.
