Okay, I went throught this on time already with 90 525 with success.

Now I am going to do it again with the 94 525iT. But this car has the BMW 14 pin Pioneer 4 head unit that only accepts a BMW changer....no easy/ cheap way out with the ol' CDX-M30 and data cable.

Anybody know which BMW changer and part#s??? so many changers out there to pick from or make a mistake with.

Yes, you can install the Pioneer CDX M30 6 CD changer in the 94 525iT. I installed one in my 95 525iT. If you purchase the Pioneer CDC (CD changer) and it comes with its electrical wire and CDC cable...all you need is the aftermarket (PIO?) adapter and a couple of T-taps to connect to the power source.

The only other thing you'll need to do is drill a few new holes in the Touring CD changer's mounting brackets since the Pioneer CDC pre-drilled holes don't quite line up...but it is VERY easy to do if you have an electric drill. And you WILL need the Touring's CDC mounting brackets...they are different than the sedans. If you find/buy/have the CDC mounting brackets...they just bolt into the pre-drilled holes behind the insulation in the CDC compartment on the drivers side in the cargo area. (the bracket part #s can be found in the online parts database at www.realoem.com/bmw)

Below is the Pioneer CDX M30 CDC mounted in my 95 525iT..I intentionally mounted it so that the door opened back toward the window...mounted the other way seemed to give more opportunity to "accidentally" knock it off:

Pioneer CDX M30 hooked up to the PIO (?) adapter with the T-taps connected to the electrical harness:
