Hi folks,

I'm another crazy aussie E34 owner.
Just thought you might like to look at the 1980 red M1 for sale on the Australian eBay site.
I wish!!!!!

I think it would be cool to have one over here in the US just because they never brought them over here...that Australian M1 is selling at no reserve? That price looks cheap [although I have no clue how much those cars go for really]

M1s go for a lot more in the US.

I saw the Z1 on eBay too. I gotta ask "why would you design doors like that anyway" Yes, it is a BMW but I can't say I'm impressed.
There's a good article in the April 2006 "Performance BMW" magazine on an M1owned by Frank Fahey in San Diego. It's a street-legal racing car. He even runs slicks on it-16 sets per year from memory. I doubt he'd be selling it for $20-odd thousand. BMW only made just over 400 of them to qualify for racing it so it's got to be a damn good investment if you had the spare cash. I be in there like a rat up a drainpipe if I could afford it. It may well be the only M1 in Oz. Let me know if you know others. Can you imagine turning up to your club's "show-and-shine" in it? :D

That Z1 looks like a solstice. I freaking hate the solstice.

We're going to say the same thing about the solstice in 10 years for sure, but people like me will always hate them lol...

i am not quite sure photos do the z1 justice. i first saw it at the melbourne motor show a few years ago (it was not a new model at the show) and in the flesh the thing looks really good. it has a very bmw typical styled balance about it, something i am not sure the z3 hit square, in fact the z4 aint exactly my perfect style either although it beats a 3.
