hi guys,
I was struggled by this problem for a long time. My onboard computer does not work. I went to the dealer to ask for help. They told me that I need a new one and also gave me a quote with the part number. The new one is quite expensive (£600 or so). So I searched for a used part on eBay. I was told by the seller that it was compatible with my car. His part number has four same digits as mine. (The seller checked the local BMW dealer about it with my part number and chassis number. They told him that it was compatible.) Thus, I decided to buy it. When I took it to my local BMW dealer for installation, they told me that it did not work for some reasons. They suggestion me buying a new one to secure it work. It confused me! I don't want to buy a new one. That is far more than what I could afford. What's the exact problems there? Onboard computer? or somewhere else?
Is there any skillful guys here having the similar experience? Help me out please! Or what kinds of suggestions or relevant information you think would be helpful for this situation? Many thanks in advance!
