Trunk lid tail light question

After a year I finally notice the trunk lid tail lights on my '93 525I only have bulbs for the back lights and the interior trunk lights but there are cut outs for bulbs for the parking lights but not bulbs or sockets. Is this correct? Is there an E34 that has working parking lights on the trunk lid?

Bentley seems to indicate this is the way the '93s are.

Euro cars had foglights back there. I believe they were only on one side though.

both sides,foglights are 25w tailights so you have a chance to be seen in the fog....

Hey Jeff,

If you want to fill in those sockets, you can get the correct euro fog switch on ebay from time to time. It's a 3 position switch that replaces your standard fog light switch.

Here's an example:

I have the switch but haven't done the conversion yet. Someone had a write-up for adding the rear fogs but I can't locate it at the moment.


BTW, what color is your touring? Mine is in green, and i believe the same build month as yours.
