OT Ford GT

While driving early this morning a new Ford GT pulled out in front of me.
It was wearing a dealers tag and the driver seemed to be itching to get on it but too much traffic.
Sounded great,not like the flatulent Viper V-10.
Was done up in Gulf colors with #6. Anyone know which car this is emulating?
