Alignment, weighting car required?

The factory recomends that my 95 525it be preloaded with 500lbs in order to align it. Anybody done a regular alignment, know if preloading the car is really important?

Only preload it with 500lbs if youre going to be driving it with 500lbs. Thats my opinion.
