fuel filter

Hi all,

i want to replace a new fuel filter on my bmw 1992 525i and i don't know where that is . i found the instructions on the e34 website but don't know where it is since this is my first time working on cars. Please advise.

could somebody also tell me where i can locate the gear selector switch - like to clean itt. thanks

Fuel filter is just behing the rear passenger side wheel/axel. Look for a can with hoses comming out from the ends.

Gear switch is under the centre consol panel. It pops up from just under the ashtry swinging back. probably needs a squirt of contact cleaner
