tree got hit in a thunder storm, my brother saw it, it blew the bark off most the tree, almost exploded the damed thing, the bark you see is just loosly hanging on, it was awsome.

Nice pics. Awsome power of nature on display again! Thanks for sharing.

That tree certainly won't be standing very much longer.

Doesn't that mess up stuff in your house if it hits that close? Computers, sensitive stuff like that?

Wow- great pics!! Mother Nature can be pretty awesome, sometimes.
I remember many years ago, as a kid in Portland, OR,,,a lineman was repairing an outage near our house during a nasty thunderstorm- he was up the utility pole, wich had a streetlight and a transformer, when lightning hit the pole- it superheated the sweat in his boots,,and the resulting steam literaly blew his boots off of his feet. We kids were all watching when it happened,,and it was a chorus of "Hooo-leee SH*T!!", from all of us.
He fell,,but was not injured,,,save from the steam burns to his lower legs and feet.

It will be interesting to see if the tree survives.

Awesome pic. Lightnight hit our yard about a week ago. All it did was blow the invisible fence for the dogs.

Nice neighborhood there ........ who's cleaning up that mess?
