I inherited a 525i 4door sedan from a friend.... it was recently vandalized,,, the major damage was under the hood,,, many of the wires were cut and all of the relays pulled from the 3 boxes under the hood... plus the hood cable and accelerator cables cut... the main DME harness was cut along with several other single wires...that are easily identified and have been spliced, soldered, and shrink wrapped... I have done the same with the DME harness ( 19 individual wires). MY problem is this:

We recovered all but 1 of the relays; even with the help of Benetly's Manual...I can't reconstruct the replacement of all of the various types relays (BMW dealer won't help)

The DME harness has 4 solid Black wires and 2 solid Brown
and although I tried to match the lenghts of these 6 wires when resplicing them, it will not start(cranks fine) AND I have no voltage at the fuel pump fuse socket.!
Even went to a junk yard in hopes of finding a 525i with relays intact to photograph etc... no such luck !!!!
ANYONE care to help...!!!! Photos of your relays in position etc....Any ideas?

OUCH!!!! who the hell would do such a thing!???

as for relays, my car (530) has spots where there are relay sockets but no relays. for example one is the headlight cleaning relay socket, but since i have no headlight cleaners, theres no relay.

Ill go out to the parkinglot an take some pictures for you. Mine is a 1991 525, Im not sure if the have identical positions for the relays, but it will give you a start.

And here is a perfect example of why we need to put a location and or market for our cars....Euro cars can be different from each other with the big difference in spec, let alone euro/US/Japan...

Well in my sig it says euro-spec. I know his car i one year newer, and is sold for the US market. I also said that i was not dure if the positions were the same.
