There are tons of discussion about this shock... Do a search or bmwe34.net. It boils down to this...

OEM... Boge
OEM plus... Sach
Firmer... Bilstein
$$$... Koni

Which is more reliable? Probably the Bilstein. Boge and Sach will wear out... Koni has its own problem with leaking. Bilstein as some reported to have problem... but I never did with many cars.

Bilsteins suck, I went with the Sachs and so far with the ride/firmness/ and repeatability i love them. just sold the 3 bilsteins i had over the last year or so for 1 buck on ebay.

Don't forget the Bilstein TC's (Touring Class). The sports and HD's are much to hard in my opinion, but the TC's are nice with stock springs. In my opinion they are comparable to Boge but slightly better.

if you have lots of $$$ and dont want the car lowered too much, Dinan has a kit with their springs and Koni shocks.

Thank you for your advice. I think. I will go for Sach.
