My brother just boufgt a 1986 535i e28, and found out he has the metric tires on it. Does anyone know what the offset is for this car? I think he is going to change out the wheels entirely to get to a 15" rim instead of the metrics that only coker makes a tire for.

buy a set of e34 15" basketweave wheels. They look great on an e28 and are very plentiful.

i concur,
i will have to do this soon also as my TRX's are rapidly disappearing because it is way too easy to lose traction:p

Any E32 or E34 wheel will fit and work perfectly. Several other wheelsets from various other chassis work also, although some have more fussy fitment. For example E23 wheels will fit but mostly are 14". E38 wheels will fit but have different offset, etc. The most common thing to do for E28 owners is to get a set of wheels from an E34 or E32 in 15" or 16".

Enjoy!

Mine had BBS 15" on it, they were sweet.... if that is what PML is offering you, I would snatch 'em at that price!

My brother is coming over tomorrow and I'll show him this post. Can you PM me your phone number? I am pretty sure he is gonna be interested since that is the same that coker quoted him for putting just one tire on his existing rims.
