Why shouldn't I buy this car? Apart from the fact that it is on ebay so it must be a fake...

maybe not the most desireable E34 but certainly looks as described.I wouldnt trade from yours tho.You can only go to a 535,a 540 or a touring!

You would be buying a very new e34. If it suits your budget do it. Before I got this car I drove a 730iL. It was a little sluggish but they have a 5 speed auto and not at all unacceptable, the small v8 would be way better in a 5 series. It does no have climate control which I would want for the money but it does have auto dimming mirror & woodgrain so its not bottom of the range. It if has electric memory seat that would almost cancel out the climate control.

mate i ve gotta say that I prefer the 535i 5 speed that was up last week at Hurstville. 127,000 ks and manual and 11 grand buy now but no offers at $9k, where did it go? if i had the dosh i would be looking at it and not the 3 litre from the dealer.

I presume that you were not the buyer.

Interestingly, as far as used prestige car dealers in Sydney go, that mob aren't too bad, as far as I can tell.

According to a few mates who sell new Mercs, they apparently are reasonably highly regarded in the industry.

I found a nice (rare) E240T (2000 model) there with 40k km on it for my sister 14 months ago and the car turned out to be as good as represented. She has now done a further 50k km - she lives at Wagga and drives to Sydney often - and the car is brilliant. Shame she doesn't appreciate it !

Before you give me a spray about buying a Merc, she needed a 7 seater as she has 5 kids from 17 to 3. Better (safer) option than the Nissan Patrol she was considering.
