My buddy Matt (E30Bimmer here, just joined) and I went out behind West Point today, on this incredibly windy road that overlooks the Hudson River. It just so happens that we both own 11/88 build date Zinnoberrot red 535iA's. Here's a couple shots:

Both are beautiful pieces of machinery. You wrecked your's right? If so they did one hell of a job repairing it. Looks awesome

yeah, the body work was flawless. buuuuuut those pics are deceiving. they did a terrible. no wait, downright horrible job of blending the paint on the bumper and the quarter panel. it's pink in some light. i notice it more readily than others, but hey its a cause for a repaint! Matt's car is really awesome, pure stock. I want to get a mini shoot with his dad. He's got a black/black 91 m5, and a black/black 91 m3 with 21k original miles!!!!! sheesh

Edit:
sorry for the size:

sounds like they went a little thin in some spots. Or lack of color tint. Get those pics. Im sure everybody would like to see them. Including myself.
Besides.....I think that RD strut bar will look better on my car.

Good to see your E34 is looking back in shape my friend!!

There was an E34 in my hometown when I first purchased mine (and before I started modding it), it was an exact twin to mine:

1990 E34 535i auto, alpineweiss2 with blue cloth interior. Only small difference was that the other car had a towball.

Its funny finding twins. I found a twin to my old 1975 corolla 2dr once!! What a blow-out!! Most of these little cars are dead now :(

Great Pics man! Glad to see she's back in action. Cool to see the difference in the wheel gap with your springs.

BTW, is that a whole new bumper or just a lip on the bottom. In the picture from above looking down, your bumper looks soooooo much meaner!

definitely. once we get your headlights/HID's in it will truly be twins ;). gonna have to get your dad's m5 out for a ride too. sucks you can only fit like 3, maybe 4 cars up there max.

Cool stuff! In post #2 of yours, pic #3, it looks like you have it half shadowlined. Or is it just the light?

Exactly how do you tell if you have a Zinnoberrot model? I am new "old but just getting back into" Bmw.

red would be the most difficult colour to match cos it fades so much
