It's called bendix in our country, bu I don't know how it's called elsewhere.
In Real OEM catalog it is FREE WHEEL PINION, as a part of a starter Marelli.
I recently bought BOSCH part as they told me that it will fit and that is a factory part for 520i M50 engine. When my electrician removed starter he said that the Bosch part doesn't fit, and that Ishould find Marelli part.
I bought yesterday another bendix and to me it looks just like bosch one, but it is italian made.
Anybody knows what part number I shpuld be looking for, the only thing I know is that starter is maked 1,4/12 and with some numbers I left at a paper back home?
