I just recieved in the mail today my set of Hella Euro Ellipsoids. They're French so they have yellow lenses. I will have pics up soon but I don't plan to install them till my HID kit comes in. My issue is how will I get the HID bulb wires through to the ballast. There is the H1 bulb cap on the back which is in the way. Anybody have pictures of their set-up. Also How do some of you have the High's connected to the old 9005 plugs? Thanks for all the help.

If I'm understanding the question right, I believe you have to drill.

Then again, I may not have a clue.

Jon K, paging you. post some pics of your HID install, por favor.

Yes, the question is: how do I install HID's in euro smiley's without f-ing it up and doing the ghetto install like Nat did?

Anyboy have pictures of their HID set up? I'm looking to drill a hole and insert rubber grommets for the seal.

Hmmmm... what temp are the HIDs? I'm wondering how they'd look if over 4300k behind yellow lenses

I just drilled with 3/4" steel drill bit. Then put a rubber grommet in the hole... seal with silicone. Poke two holes for wires to fish through tightly.

Rubber grommet I used is for MB drain plug in the trunk... smaller version that is about 3/4".

For drilling... start with small hole first so it is centered and then use the 3/4" drill bit... or use Uni-bit.

Not sure about the drill parts you guys got and not sure about the euro headlights as I don't have them but for the connector parts.

9006/9005 ar einterchangable, you just have to look at the connection and look at th eplug the find that way to jimmy it together, they fit trust me, mine are that way right now for my Helios HID's.

As for running the wires neatly? If yours have caps on them, my fogs have caps over the light connections, same with my bddies Mr2 that we did for him. All we did was take a socket, I believe 13/16, heated the b**** up to hot then pushed the black cap through it. It provided a perfect seal around the rubber grommet provided in the kit and the black cap for the headlights, looks OEM except for the other light connection hanging of the side.

Let me know if you want pictures of my setup.

Yea, if you don't mind that would be great. So I can get everything before my HID kit comes in the mail. Also, anybody know if I can get these gromets, at Home Depot perhaps or an Advance Auto or Autozone?

Is there a site where I can find a DIY for removing the original headlights to install the new ones?
