Finished

With all the wiring there, I made the wires too long, so when I went to put the cover back on - it didn't fit tight. I used 18 gauge wire also, you recommended 22 gauge. It took around 4 hours to rewire the module. I put some tape around were the cover didn't meet the pump and reinstalled it and then bled the brakes well. The abs light is still on becasue I haven't cleared the codes yet. All up the job took around 7 hours I think. I didn't use flux or desolder either.

I only have two jacktstands so I bled the rear brakes first, then the front. It was maybe a half hour each to remove and install the pump. I removed the MAF to throttlebody boot to give me more access to the pump. I was suprised how easy is was to remove. I didn't plug the brakes lines and all the fluid slowly leaked out :( I don't have much else to add. I'll update this when I get the fault codes cleared.

that's only the e36 pump, the e34 pump is a older design that hardly ever ****s up, occasionally a solenoid will freeze up and lock a wheel but that's fairly uncommon
