Hi all,
My E34 got side swiped by someone on Saturday while it was parked on the side of the road, doing quite a bit of damage. They drove away before I came outside to investigate the noise. I found what looks like a piece of a turn signal reflector nearby that almost certainly came off the other car. On it is printed:
GUIDE IT GM 5973382 LA
The GM is underlined, like the General Motors logo.
I figure that number is a part number, and I might be able to find out what kind of car hit mine by determining what car that part number goes to. I already called a GM dealer and they were unable to find that part number in their database, but I figure some folks here might be more resourceful.
Anyone have access to a GM parts database or have any thoughts as to how I might track this down?
