::.. Power Above 3500RPM in 5th...
Just a little kudos to the car. On the highway yesterday in the 'passing lane'. Not too much traffic, I see some funky car with what's probably a faux hood scoop coming up fast. I'm sitting in 5th at about 120kph... cruising. Seeing him come within about 30 feet, I floor it. The car pulled away from him like it was nothing and within a (few) blinks, rolling at 240kph. Didn't stay at that speed for long though, just until the other fellow was a spec in the mirror. Didn't see him after that.
I've never floored it in 5th before and was surprised that even then over 3500RPM the car pulls strong and roars great ;)
NB: yeah, I could have downshifted but I actually wanted to see how it would go, floored in 5th. Luckily, there was absolutely no shimmy.... like the car was on rails.
