When changing my diff, i notice that the rubber bushing bolting the rear diff carrier is showing some rubber breakage and soon needs replacement.
Do i have to remove the whole rear diff subframe from the car in order to push the rubber bushing out at the machine shop or there's a DIY way to do this without taking out lots of things?
thanks in advance for any suggestion,
rahman

You can cut the old bush out with a sawzall or use a chisel on an air hammer. then press the new bush in with a universal front wheel bearing installer.
You can probably fab up an installer with some 1/4" steel plate and a strong bolt. Some folks use the weight of the body to press the bush in, but it if cocks to one side, it can be tricky to straighten out.
