Helped neighbors kid do compression test on M20. Five 150s and Won Is Lo at 60 psi. Few good shots of Marvel Mystery Oil and Won Is Low pumped out solid 175 psi. Won Is Lo is #1. Recent head gasket. Runs well so low cylinder a surprise.

What causes one cylinder to be Lo if oil test shows valves OK?

I think the rings may be bad. The oil poured into the cylinder creates a temporary seal between the piston and the wall. Having bad compression without oil and good compression with oil signifies worn piston rings.

Won is Lo may be Broke Wring. My M50 had a Lo cylinder, same diagnosis, similar figures.

why do you refer it as a "chinese" compression.?

What about a reekey (leaky) injector on # won. That would wash the cylinder dry and give a false reading. How did the plug look?

if were gonna hate on the chineese in this thread....
don't take the chinese compression with the marvel mystery oil....
cause an hour and a half later, it'll just be low again..

How to tell difference between broken ring and injector leakdown washing oil off cylinder wall? Does jump in reading from 60 to 175 support leaking injector analysis?

Waiting for engine to cool down to remove plug should give injector plenty time to complete leak down. How bout fuel pressure test that would show leakdown. What FP reading should engine maintain after normal shutdown?

I would disconnect the fuel pump fuse and start the engine to let it stop after a few cranks, to normalize the pressure in the fuel system. Then redo the test.

So I asked her about Won is Lo...She said.

He's a distant cousin, His mother is Boobs Hung Lo, and his father was great Chinese porn star Long Dong Wong. they never married, so Won kept his mother's name Hung Lo, but due to a testicle problem, he later dropped the Hung after much teasing in school.

Ahh, thanks Bob.

I assumed he was a relative of Jay Lo or maybe a brutha of Skee-Lo. Silly me ;) All I know is that when Won Fu Lo (another relative) went for flying lessons, he had some issues with the control tower.

Hmm, you sure he doesn't work at the Daey Yang tire factory? Apparently they recently changed their name after someone told them why no one in English speaking countries was buying their MTB tires.

Oh and I love this spell check. Been spelling tires wrong the whole time and didn't know.

No it's a real company and they actually make mountainbike tires. Laughed my ass off when I saw them and tried to order a pair, but by then they had changed their name. I would rather have Daey Yang on my tires though.
