i bought 3-way passive crossovers & cannot use them.............

the front tweeter & woofers are 4ohm & the mids are 8ohm.
so a normal 4ohm crossover will not work. i pulled them after i connected the crossover & got a very loud mid with distortion. so i connected a 2-way i planned on using for the back & it did not sound so bad.
it seems they are compensating for something by using a 8ohm mid.
