This is my buds GTI we're always ripping around in.

So far we've owned modified '03+ Cobras, Evo 8's, STi's, a 680hp Supra on our way to a huge VW meet in Maryland (although we blew a coolant line), and recently hung with a Ford GT from a roll. A blast to drive as it freaks the **** out of people.

2.8L VR6 punched out to 3.0L
Low compression JE Forged internals
T3/T04E Turbo soon to be GT35/40R
50# injectors
DTA8 standalone ecu
BFG Slicks

This was going in to the carousel (turn 9) after I passed him between turn 7 and turn 8. As the session went on, more and more space grew between us :D

A lot of people think R32s are something their not. I agree with scott they're nothing to be scared of.

r32's are great cars with lots of potential...
scott was prolly the better driver on that
day.

It was the 4th time at RA for that R32 driver, third going through a driver's school. I was not the typical novice group driver, but the R32 driver was not bad either. I think the touring just had more acceleration and definitely more braking ability. The R32 weighs 3,400lbs and has power sapping AWD through a 6-spd. The 535iT comes in at 3,650lbs and is just plain kickass.

Yep - I've driven R32s it feels like something is wrong. You get in thinking omg 240x horsepower... awd....big brakes...

then you feel the 240 hp and the awd... and go, "oh..yeah..thats right.."

Jon....is it just me or should that turbo 3 liter walk away from the race with the GT stang ? Its a lighter car with a good power to weight ratio.
I only say this because I've raced many of the GT's from a dig and send them to " mail order doom" after handing them a bad spanking. I've seen several of the VW's on the street that seemed quick with full builds, but they didn't run me. I was in an AWD turbo Syclone-V6 4.3 liter.....then later on with a turbo Datsun 240 Z- I-6 2.8 liter.
Still yet..........I'm sure your right about suprising the other cars hanging with them.
Sleepers ARE fun !:p

Syclone and Typhoon.....I used to have a loaded 1989 Jimmy....those cars were SWEEET...

looking to turn the 535iT in to more of a sleeper with some boost some day soon.
