ps the pic is from Bikini Island, the bomb completely nuked at least 1 island and was so radioactive they lined the hole with lead and concrete. The natives on Bikini had the protection of croutching and closing their eyes.

I have been hungry this past weekend as a result of getting my wisdom teeth pulled. No matter how much yogurt, mac and cheese and ice cream i eat, i cant seem to get full. I think i can finally gorge myself on real food tonight though...i cant wait :)

don't feel bad, after my jaw surgeries, I had to eat liquid from a squeeze bag and straw for months each time!!

All I was craving was to eat something I could chew, mac and cheese would have been welcomed!! Thank god that's over for both of us!:p

Are you swedish? My grandfather enjoys pickled herring, so we have to keep a jar of the disgusting stuff in the fridge for when he visits. I had alot of very good lingonberry juice when i was in sweden, however.

What do you mean disgusting - absolutely delicious - particularly in mustard sauce with dill.

Born in Sweden, grew up & live in Oz. I am just so lucky that my local supermarket stocks herring, caviar (caviar derived paste in a tube - great on boiled eggs), lingonberry jam and juice, crispbread, horseradish, gingerbread snaps, and salami. All in a country town with a population of 3,000 or so.

It is amazing how I just can't survive without all this ancestral food.

Thank goodness there is a large Estonian and Finnish population in the area.

I don't usually have that patriotic a lunch but just happened to on the day that Jeff started the thread. :)

besides the breakfast biscuit type stuff i don't consider the king to be edible (last chance i gave bk was during a auto cross and everything but the coke went into the trash, it was just close enough to dash over between classes), on rare occaision the manager gets us farto bell which i like, getting burned out on arby's, for some reason he won't get us wendys or subway both of which are less then a mile from the shop, greek food day is welcomed and so is chinese food day, id bitch more but the shop buys lunch and i don't have to go get it

Bowl of clam chowder and a salad. Along with some dutch cookie-like stuff called Spekulaasbrokken. Big lunch today, I think it's the weather, just got bloody cold all of a sudden.

I love the caviar paste on boiled eggs, or even crackers. The swedish meats and cheeses are great! Dont get me wrong, the food was the thing i liked best about sweden :)

Bulgogi and Kim-chi from a korean kitchen. Massive amount of food, and cheap. Wish they had a vietnamese Pho' place in my town. That would be cheaper and better.

Yesterday, my girlfriend made it 2 cards that match my present. She made it an Ace and 7 for 17 (my age) .... kinda clever.

Happy b-day to you.
