Has anyone ever tried to rebuild there door breaks, mine (the driver door especially) have become very stiff and make it harder to shut the door. I dont think its bad enough to justify replacing them but perhaps theres a better answer?.. I notice mine didnt have any boots on the inside of the door like was shown on a diagram but then again the inside of my doors are pretty clean.

51 21 8 155 698 Door Check, should cost around $30 new just change it and never think about it again, you don't want to rip the end out of the door as that's much more expensive, i get about $100 labor to rebuild the end of the door

I looked into replacing mine and since it was stiff as hell I broke out the PB Blaster to even things out....just remembered them things in this post. Mines pretty much fixt.

did you just spray the PBblaster in from the outside of the door, or did you remove the door panel?

you can usually squirt it in through the hole in the end

I will try that in the rear. Those doors are not used as much, thats probably why they are stiff and tight. Might some sort of lubricant like silicone spray be good to use after the PBblaster?

EDIT: I did smear some clear gear oil on the metal parts of the door brakes, but it didnt seem to help too much.

pb will work fine as it's actually a lube unlike wd40
