sorry if this is a repost, another B10 bi-turbo being sold by the guy that was selling a black one a while back. Sick car but the price, yeah right, I'd buy another 540 or M5, intall forced induction, modify everything else and still have money left over. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-ALPINA-B10-Bi-Turbo_W0QQitemZ4634833923QQcategoryZ6131QQssPageNa meZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

But the bottom line is this is a genuine pristine Bi-Turbo. Something like this will most likely hold it's value in the long run as there will always be a collector out there somewhere. A modded 540 won't hold the same desireability. It depends whether your just interested in straight out performance or a piece of history that's getting rarer by the minute.

192k kms = 120k miles = potential nightmare = not worth $32k risk = pass

I think the idea of it potentially being a nightmare is an understatement. Everything I've ever come across on these cars implicates that they weren't built with longevity in mind, especially the turbos. So where's the stack of receipts from ~ 100k?

Egh. That thing has been on ebay for months. Somebody buy it already.

Check out www.mobile.de (http://www.mobile.de) (it's in German still easy to surf. B-10 turbos comefor athenth of that price (maybe a quarter...)But they are not Bi Turbos. If it is a bi-turbo, it is the last of that style of engine, it is indeed a race-bred engine from the great CSL era. Some say old technology etc, but these motors (blueprinted) were doing 850BHP on the track. It might well be old technology, but as Pundit so eloquently pointed out these cars have buckets of (and will build much more) collector value. If I could get one (with however many miles on it) I would rebuild, blueprint, do whatever Schnitzer did to the motor when racing them (except mod it to have (removable) Motec or even Megasquirt ECU (this is only a maybe- it would depend on many things) and carefully restore the rest of the car to factory glory. No blingy anything; this baby would be factory and as new.

Then you would have a true, driveable supercar, a brilliant investment and a true and complete glory to behold and drive- till death might you part...

I would prefer this to an M1, as it could be driven on the street. An M1 is too much of a sports car for any practical use, and simply far too precious to use on the street, that's for sure.

www.mobile.de :D

Or how about 525iX Touring for 200 Euro, i.e pocket change.... :)
Or M5 Touring for 6k Euro........

Sorry, I seem to have a "thing" for Tourings at the moment...

<EDIT> After reading the adverts in German and trying to decipher them I have found an easy solution. Change the "language" at the top of the page to English. DOH. :p :p

I've ridden in that white Biturbo. Simply put it's a supercar - crazy fast.

Enjoy!
