I have a line on some 2004 325i wheels/tires locally and was curious if they would fit.
I could have sworn I remember reading that 3-series didn't fit but I couldn't remember.

Well, they have the same bolt pattern, but the 3-series has a different offset than the 5-series, so you would need serious (20mm or more) spacers to make them work. Not worth it IMO.
