I pumped up the tire pressure by a few more PSI before running... needless to say there was still a lot of nice 'side' action and squealing.

Notice how the treads are formed/deformed/shaved now. See how the shadow falls on them to know what I mean.

I ran 3-4 laps (Nelson circuit, Shannonville), then let everything cool off for about 15 minutes... rinse... repeat. After 3-4 laps, you can definitely smell the rubber 'burning' heh.

Brakes held up nicely though... even when I tried to toast them hard. I'm convinced it's more because of the ceramic pads than the crossdrilling.

NOTE: these are those inexpensive General UHP tires from TireRack... remember? :) http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=General&tireModel=Exclaim+UHP

I wish I had the video to see how much body roll there was... but according to the A3 that was chasing me... pretty bad heh.

Had a set of new Potenza RE730s look like that after a track day in '01. Forever after they were extremely noisy and hard to keep balanced.

Mine looked like that after a car control clinic.

I'll keep them around for fun. Going to pick up 17" M-Pars with Fuzions for about $400 bucks new. Oh and no, I can't get any more ha!

Qube - the outsides are feathered pretty bad... signs off sidewall roll or bad alignment. Or just signs of massive understeer, which I know nothing about :p

I actually was letting air out of my tires all day on my track day. They get so heated up in 15 laps it was ridiculous. Finally found where they needed to be by the second run.

Only problem was...... I changed the center link out about 2 days before Drivers school. Didnt take it in for Alignment and ended up scrubbing the inside edges of both Fronts! Toyo T1r's too! So I am now going to have to buy 2 new fronts.

It was worth every penny. My smiles have not subsided. - JT

T1Rs! That's a pretty pricy bit of rubber to scrub! :)
