Squeaking steering wheel

My steering wheel squeaks about half of the time when making low speed turns and it is very annoying. I read the solution on evansweb.info, but I remember last time I had to take the steering wheel off, I did not see any brass shavings. I will try putting new grease on anyway. What kind of grease do you recommend and have any of you successfully fixed this problem without it coming back?
