you drive around a corner in your subdivision and there's a 9 foot gator being loaded into a cage along with several others.
These boig boys live inthe ponds dotted throughout the subdivisions and golf courses. Late spring and early summer, they are on the move eading to a breeding/nesting area.

We get them all the time in all the ponds we have here in Georgia. You can not let your dogs run loose because they are a quick snack for the alligators. There is a guy here that is authorized to kill them and he makes his money by selling the meat to local restaurants.

The county has a full time crew that picks up the critters. This was their 6th or 7th of the day. They always have job openings.
This fat guy was picked up right in the middle of a residential neighborhood;
There's a 6 footer right behind my house that just hatched up 5 more lil gators. They will come for that batch soon.
Standard capture consists of duct taping the mouth closed, then covering eyes. That's a blue towel covering the head.
