Hey guys -

kinda new here and I have found alot of information on the EAT chip but not for the m20 engine. I have 154,000 miles on it and have maintained the engine great and it runs like its brand new, should i get the chip and if so should i increase the rev limit. Its an automatic also, any input would be great, thanks guys

If you have the auto, I don't recommend the increased rev limiter.

Have a look at this thread (http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=63984) for feedback on the M20 chip. (there are 4 versions, depending on the octane (91 or 93, and stock injectors or 17/19#)

I also have a version for stock injectors, 91 octane and an auto transmission. (The E30 needs a different chip if you have an auto)

As far as I Know I have stock injectors, and im in the US mostly Michigan and Chicago area so I believe octane would be 91. I was told that I have the m20, my car has a build date of 11/90, and I checked the dme number on the computer which i was told to do and it was 0 261 200 405. Just let me know which chip i need, I dont plan on doing any further mods to the car. Is it even worth doing then? thanks for getting back to me so fast

Your DME indicates you have an early M50.

You can order that chip directly from my website.
