Its really amazing how little response you get when your profile isnt filled out with minor info such as year, model, series etc isn't it?

I got the TMS chip and I would say for the money go with the EAT ;) I plan on getting mine custom chipped, if i keep the car so that won't be an issue soon.

Yes the chip is VERY worth it in the 3.5L M30's, you definatly feel the increase in power, I'm in love ;).

LSD's, hell from blowing up an old open diff in my old car, switching to LSD on that, having the stock LSD on this thing, I love them. Nothing like having traction when u need it and getting rid of it when u dont want it, plus they are a hell of a lot stronger then those stupid open diffs. A+ on that one too.

how bout some input on your end? what you running? If its less than a 3.5 your wasting time with a posi rear end, a chip will help any engine but mattering on what it is the gains are more for the larger displacements.

Hehehe... 42 :)

Mushrooms go better with LSD than chips!! :D :D

Remember coupling an EAT with LSD means smokier burnouts!!!

EAT chip is great, worth every cent; can't provide numbers for power gain, etc., sorry...haven't done LSD in 35 years either...:p

#'s for the Chip are on the EAT website, or just use TMS/Jim Conforti but cheaper w/ more power ;)

Trust me, chip = worth the money.

lsd wont give you any solid measureable performance increase but i tell you with a LSD your rear tyres are GLUED to the road.It is very very difficult to break the rears loose, and if you do you better be ready.....I am not talking about dropping the clutch in the wet,but normal or even enthusiastic cornering and accelleration you wont break the rears loose.

well i have an 89 535i with a 5spd. It's lowered with 18" OZ rims and 225/40/18 kumos in front and 245/40/18 p-zeros in the rears.

how do you tell if you have an open diff or not. Can you cross refence anything like other features that might have some in the package or refencing the vin #

there are a few ways
If you have both rear wheels off the ground spin one wheel, the direction the other one turns is important
If you have only one wheel off the ground an lsd wont let the wheel turn
Your diff will have a S on the tag
I am an idiot cos i dont know what the specifics of the first two options are

If I can get my beast which weights more then your beast to break loose with LSD, then you aren't trying hard enough.... and I can get mine loose ;)
