Could someone run a check what would be the new part number for the above general module.
I have one here with that p/n but do not know from when it was produced and in which car it was installed, E32 or E34.
A friend wants to have it in case it is the later version which allows all 4 windows one touch down and the drivers window also one touch up.
If I have the new p/n I can run a check on realoem where is was used with the cross reference mode with the p/n
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/partxref.do

Thanks a lot.

Hi Erich, I ran that part number against NA's database and it isn't in there -- perhaps it's country specific?

Best, whit

Thanks whit!
I will check the actual p/n on the box once more. Have the part in my big box with the other cars and just had a note with that p/n.
Maybe I mixed up a number.
I really have to write down always what it is and from which car I removed it. It's sometimes confusing.
But we are working hard to get the first 750 apart and want to sort out all later. Differential, drive shafts, starter, alternator, IHKA and some other stuff we removed now.
Next weekend the trans and maybe the V12 engine, then the fuel tank, LAD shocks, etc.

No one wants to come over and help me, still some more cars are waiting in line there to be stripped :D
And I want to start again with my Highline restauration, as it get's warmer now.

even in the BMW headoffice they do not have any data on this one. The only info is that it is 1987 state of development :)
This part number does not exist in any list, but in reality it is there.

I got some new ones in, maybe this is easier. Would be happy if you can tell me the up-to-date p/n and from when they were used, probably in an E32 740 from 1993, but that does not mean the parts are from same year.

Strange, and the one you found is even not 100% the same #.
The relais module is actually 61.35 1 379 741, and the one you found is -740.

Should be found under European spec E32 740

Anyway, thanks, Paul

contacted my mule in Munich, as I had some other part questions and he answered me the following (excerpt+translated)

"My friend in the trust of the all mighty parts catalog"

For sure all numbers are known here, but there are numerous differences and designs. Here a short summary why different:

High/Low-versions
country design Australia, Japan, USA and ECE
anti-theft device yes/non
subsupplier
etc etc ...

From this data and that background and also there is a facelift model for the E32 there are many, many different versions.

For example:

1 388 523 GM High E32, maker:Hella
8 355 818 GM ECE/US E34, maker:Reinshagen, terminal/clamp 15 still active after engine is shut-off, ECE version: door do not automatically lock when car starts driving, US version: doors lock when car starts driving
8 350 376 LKM ECE E32, maker:Loewe
8 356 096 GM Australia E32, maker:Hella, a long story with this one about the differences

1 390 354 GM Australia E32, maker:Reinshagen, window function and electric sunroof function only when terminal/clamp 15 active
1 388 070 GM Emulator Australia E32
8 350 346 (replacement for) GM 1 390 354
1 379 741 RM E32 , maker: Reinshagen from 1989

You certainly understand that this is just a short list of all versions ever made......
