I bought this engine back in october and sience have been buying parts build it stronger and to make it faster. This is the m30 block turbo charged from an e23 I was trying to find out the duration on the cam. Is the cam on a 1991 535i more agressive than this one or is the turbo's duration higher?

There is lots of info but the exact duration is not documented yet AFAIK. You will find lots of info tho that gets you closer to knowing more. M30B35 engines have a 264 degree cam, super hot cams are 272 degree (circa M30B32 I think- ie e28 533 and e23 733) and 284 degree (made by Shrick and still available)

Your motor, if it is an M102 it will have 745 stamped on the block if it is) should have a 272 degree cam. If you want to know some more about your engines history check out my 'Easter Special' post last week. :) Nick
