Hi all,
I thought it would be time to replace the ~15 year old gasket. Exciting also to see the engine top end for the first time ... anyway with the Bentley at hand it was a straightforward job, no surprises. The (pleasant) surprise came with the testdrive: SMOOTH. Why the @#&^&@! didn't I do that sooner! Unbelievable the difference both in idle and otherwise. I now have a purring idle and smooth power delivery. I kid you not, that new gasket makes all the difference.
I took some pics that shows the sludge-free top but the not so clean cover. Is the buildup on the cover quite normal or has is been sucking in false air/dust?
