Hey folks, I got the 1995 brochure for the e34 range on ebay. Is it safe to scan it and put it online as a PDF? Or is there some crazy copyright law that prevents me from doing it? I'd like to do this as a service to this board so people know which options were available etc.

Thanks

Believe against copyright law. However, would BMW really care?

Also, I think there was a link, check archives, to a european site that has PDF versions of many many brochures. I am trying to collect as many different USA e34 brochures as I can find. I found a great europeran 94/95 (?) e34 M5 brochure on ebay.

I also have an interest in original e28 and 1600-2002 brochures having owned both these cars.

Copyrights aside, I would loooooove a PDF of the brochure. If you decide to scan it, could you please email a copy to me? cpurcell34@yahoo.com

Alright I'll go ahead and scan it. It might take a while but I'll make sure to post it here or email it to those interested.

I started scanning it and after 2 hours of work I have pages 1-15 and 39 done. You can check it out at www.jf3d.com/e34_1-15.pdf (6mb) until I finish the rest.

Nice work Cactuar...
That Touring is sexy as hell!!

I've collected quite a bit of literature from eBay regarding E34s... Including a 235pg A3 size design brief from 1987. It contains stats on target markets, spy photos of testing prototypes... all kindas stuff!!

eBay is a gold mine for rare stuff... and **** (unfortunately)

Here's the brochure!

http://www.jf3d.com/1995_BMW_e34_brochure.pdf

The center is a bit distorted and the file size is big (17mb) but it should be worth it, I scanned everything in high-res.

Enjoy :)

Thank you. Even though I have two originals, I will save this scan. I do appreciate the effort. BTW, if you can, download the German scan that shogun noted. it shows different models and really nice options such as different wheels on the e34.

Just gave a printed color duplexed copy of the scan to a co-worker who wants to buy my car or a similar car. No way she will get my car.

I didn't know you could get the rear window on the touring to stay up. I can't get mine to stay up...my window, that is.

This brochure definitely makes me smile every second I am looking at my car and driving it. I read through today's brochures and think 'that would be cool to drive a car like that.' If I would have looked through this brochure in '95, I would have never thought I would be driving one of these cars!

Thanks very much Cactuar!

Wow, thanks for doing that! And thanks also for hosting it on such a fast connection - I think I got the whole file in about 20 seconds. :D

Also thanks from the German E34 community. They even found differences in the same brochure in German and English. I think on page 12 or so in the German brochure there is a 530 while the U.S. version shows a 540.

Say hi from Montreal to the Germans.

I also noticed some differences in the brochures. The 540 in the US brochure is so sexy, there's some truly amazing photography in there.
