That's an attractive offer. Set something up, might be up for it...May even have another fünf to show-off.

I would enjoy a close meet. I stood everyone up last time due to having an m20 in a billion pieces searching for an elusive tick ( was a gasket on the oil pump letting the oil foam).
Maybe someone could show me how to get the panel off my locked back door without destroying it.

My girlfriend goes to grad school at UNC Chapel Hill. I am down there all the time and would love to meet up with some fellow bimmer nuts.

Nothing like driving 77 in a bimmer. Can't wait!

Bret, I'm stopping by once that shop is together. Your wife will probably hate the way the car now looks with the M system wheels, though :) Or, I could bring along the iX and pick up a few needed E30 parts...not as much fun as the 535, though.

best, whit

We are up for another meeting. My newest stable mate is on the rack this week and hopefully I'll be driving her home sometime this week. Only next weekend and memorial weekend are the only dates we can't make.

Hey guys. I don't think you should make June 10 an option. That is the date of the event in Chicago.

Clayton, NC to Chicago, IL = ~875 miles....... I don't think we'll have anyone too conflicted about which event to attend.

I'll definitely keep it in mind though when it comes down to the final decision.

Thanks,
Bret.

So, has a decision been made yet? I voted for May 27th, but I had planned to attend vintage at the vineyard. May 13 is Mother's Day weekend, so I changing my vote to June 1 and the following weekends.

-ashley

ps Can we get this as a sticky so it stays in front of us???

Good point about Mother's day! I completely forgot. Can eliminate that weekend as a choice and repost? June 1 gets my vote as well.

With May 13 as Mothers Day, races on Memorial Day weekend, and Chicago meet June 10, I think you should declare June 3 the winner and start taking names of attendees. IMHO. :)

Bret, that's a nice edifice you are putting together there. Apologies for not being available to visit, whenever it is. We are down to the final 2 weeks before leaving Greenville for Melbourne Australia, via Salt Lake City to see how Warren Jeffs does it (early and often from the sounds of it) Actually we are spending about 8 days at Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons and maybe some of Idaho, around Stanley. Hell, Jackson WY is an expensive place for accommodation -- on a par with Mid-town Manhattan! Anyway Yellowstone NP is a place I've wanted to boil an egg in for over 30 years, so this is it.

Did you know two of Truett's guys will be in Melbourne in July? Matt is already there on exchange at Monash University, and Steve arrives there on June 25. I am collaring them to help me find some new wheels, in return for a few feeds etc etc (I haven't got any daughters left to share. I don't think they would be too interested in Rosemary, but you never know. Look at Demi Moore!)

I really would have loved to have meet you guys and hung out but I'm out of options as far as the rest of June. I do a b-ball camp with my son every year on the 17th and go to the beach on the 24th. I wish we could have gotten everyone together before now. Maybe next year. :(

Would you guys welcome e39 owners or this strictly an e34 meet?

I'd love to meet up with other local bimmernuts but as I drive an e39, don't want to be the pig at the prom without checking first.

Felixdacat
06-06-2006, 03:53 PM
Be the pig. Every party has to have a party pooper. LOL Bring it. We all have a passion, and its all the same. BMW. No matter what make and model, we appreciate them all. Or at least I do. If the event ever happens. Nobody has stated when its going to go down.

OK Guys- looks like June 24th is out- I've got a part time job working race support for vintage races and I've got to be in Canada that weekend (Mosport). SOOOOOO, if any of you crazy Toronto-area canucks are gonna be nearby that weekend, come on by and say HI.

I'm planning to reschedule for sometime later this summer, probably August. I'll keep everyone in the loop....
